"A photograph is usually looked at - seldom looked into." - Ansel Adams
Artist Statement
If there is one thing that these photos have in common, it is this: texture. As a photographer, I have focused a lot on small details such as that. It is my belief that when you take photos for enjoyment, you become a person who can appreciate the finer things in life and the small details that are likely overlooked every day. We as a human race tend to walk around with a blind eye until we are given a purpose to do otherwise. It was a goal of mine to capture this idea through the use of textures. In the limited time that I have been doing this form of art, I have tried to become more observant and more appreciative of the underrated aspects of nature, and life in general. I hope that these photos make you feel that way, as well as forcing you to focus on the smaller details behind the bigger picture.
